History
Romeo was bred by Cockatoo Park in Qld. He came to Narrawin in early 2019. He was started under saddle lightly as a rising 5 year old, turned out and then brought back in after a some more months off. Since then, he has done quite a few trail rides alone and in company, lately in larger groups. He has also been enjoying some sessions with weapons, flags, obstacles and other fun things and has been ridden in armour. He is currently part of some group training sessions with swords and lances and formation riding. My goal is to further his education towards jousting and mounted combat, and he is well on the way.
Gaits & Movement
Romeo is a naturally gaited horse. He is one of very few gaited Morgans in Australia. He has nice free, groundcovering movement in all gaits: rack, trot, walk and canter.
Conformation Notes
He has a beautiful refined face and the typical conformation of his breed, with excellent bone and a short, strong coupling. He has a harmonious overall look, and great self-carriage.
Personality
Romeo friendly and outgoing and loves people and interesting stuff. He likes to investigate everything. He is polite and respectful with people in all circumstances including in the breeding shed.
At Stud
Romeo stands at stud to a limited number of approved mares of all breeds. I am expecting his first foal in late 2022.
