Bluey was bred by Narrawin Stud. She is by the pure Puerto Rican Paso Fino stallion Don Cristobal Mako who is by the famous Alicante. Her dam is Melody, a Saddlebred mare by the great all-rounder Sutton's Personality Guy. Melody is a half sister to Max and a half sister to our old favourite Demon. Bluey is a pleasant mare with good attitude. She is easy to handle in every way. Under saddle, she has style and shows a lovely smooth paso gait in addition to walk, trot and canter. She has now had some time under saddle. She has been ridden out on the roads and trails by us and by visitors to the stud. She is quite cool with all the usual stuff like cars, barking dogs, horses running in the paddock. She is forward moving but very easy to ride, both in sidepull or snaffle. She will happily go in front or behind. She has also had extensive additional groundwork and loves to learn new stuff, be it negotiating a maze, stepping on a pedestal, targetting objects. She is easy to catch in the paddock, is good to tie, load, float, drench and have her feet trimmed. Bluey is a very pretty mare. She is well put together and has a compact body and good back. She has a slight muscle indentation on the near side of her neck, but is blemish free otherwise. She is registered as a partbred American Saddlebred and can be shown in appropriate Saddlebred classes. She is offered for sale to the right home.
