Morena was bred by Narrawin Stud. She was orphaned at three weeks of age when we lost her mother due to an accident.

Losing her dam was a blow as she was a naturally gaited Saddlebred mare by the imported black stallion Mecca's Midnight Son. Due to circumstances, he only sired some four foals whilst in Australia. Furtunately, we still have his bloodline in Wildmoor Pilgrim Son.

Morena is a sweet natured mare, happy to be around people and very willing to cooperate. She is a quick learner. She is well gaited with little termino.

She goes well under saddle and proved yet again that great temperament makes for a great riding horse. She is very comfortable to ride and a delight to handle. She can be quite opinionated and is not in need of much pushing whilst under saddle, but she is very willing and has a cool head. She will go all day, doesn't need working down and is just as lovely and cooperative after a year off, as she is if ridden daily.

Morena has been sold to Peter and Carol Riebeling of Mia Mia, Victoria.
