Penny was bred by Winsdown Farms in Oklahoma, USA. She was shown in USA to become Reserve Champion 2 YO at the AR Futurity, Top 3 - 2YO fine harness, in hand and under saddle OK Futurity and Top 3 - 2YO fine harness TX Futurity.

She was imported into Australia in 1995 by Cherie Bridges, and was purchased by Narrawin Stud in November 2002.
