Demon was bred by Jenny Moraga in Moryua, NSW. After Jenny sold him, he spent some time being an endurance horse for another gentleman at Moruya and competed all up and down the coast.

He came to Narrawin in about 1995. After sorting out some problems with his education and manners around mares, he became one of our favourite riding horses and a reliable breeding stallion. He was the sire of a number of outstanding foals, one of which ended up overseas.

He had a lot of presence and a definite sense of humour. He was a show-off but would then come to you at the wave of your hand. He was our first gaited horse and despite the fact that his previous training had been patchy and he tended to mix gaits terrible, he turned out to be a true five gaited Saddlebred. His rack was groundcovering and smooth. His slow gait was showy, collected and floating. He was the horse that got us started for good with the gaited horses, and he was the horse we used to put visitors on to experience what a gaited horse was like.

In about 2000 he started being uncomfortable and not a long time after, we lost him due to cancer. He was exceedingly gallant right to the end. We missed him greatly for a very long time.
